Hi, my name is Mark and I am from Coulsdon in Surrey. From a young age, I developed a passion for sport and exercise, participating in a variety of sports including Football, Swimming and Athletics.
Most notably I represented Surrey on a number of occasions in the National County Swimming Championships. I also competed in the ASA National Swimming Championships. Fitness has followed me throughout my adult years as well in both social and work capacities. For seven years I was a successful PE/Games and Swimming Teacher at a local preparatory school.
I felt I needed a fresh career challenge, this led me to becoming a firefighter, a childhood ambition of mine. I have worked as a firefighter for three years now and love the physical aspects and challenges the job entails. In order to carry out my role to the best of my ability, I have to be at optimum fitness.
My passion for health and fitness has led me to qualify as a personal trainer alongside achieving my personal goals of training for the London Marathon.
My experience of training others enables me to help them achieve their personal fitness goals and reach their full potential.
Over the past few years I have completed the following certifications:
Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing
Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training
Tom Cope (Redhill U18’s Football Coach) – “Mark has worked with my U18s football team and transformed the squads way of thinking about fitness. The difference with Mark is the way he goes about it, approachable, understanding, motivating but not pushy. He makes what could be a dull and mundane task fun, enjoyable and builds a sense of personal success to every session. A great knowledge of his industry and a great enthusiasm to his work. Would recommend Mark to anyone!”
